Speakaboos Launches Beta Site at NEA Conference

Speakaboos today launched the beta of its storybook video site at the NEA Conference in Washington, D.C., attended by over 10,000 teachers and administrators throughout the country. Speakaboos celebrates classic literary properties such as Curious George, Snow White and Aesop’s Fables through the voices of today’s biggest stars including Kelly Ripa, Kevin Bacon and Minnie Driver. For children, Speakaboos features “storybook videos” (i.e. “music videos for books”) with original illustrations and music accompanied by educational activities, games and contests that they can play alongside their parents. Parents and teachers enjoy story guides, lesson plans based on national standards, community content and resources that reinforce the educational lessons at home and in the classroom. Speakaboos is currently in beta and is introducing a growing catalog of stories, fairy tales, nursery rhymes and lullabies.
